About Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation

The inspiration behind Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation – “One World, One Family” – comes from the life-affirming philosophy of Shri Shri Thakur Anukul Chandra. His teachings explain that the wellbeing of one person is closely connected to the wellbeing of others. Human life grows stronger when we care for each other, live in harmony, and work together for the good of society. Based on this philosophy, in March 2023, Shri Shri Acharyadev kindly inspired an initiative to explore the basic needs of human beings and how compassionate service can help meet those needs. What began as a simple spiritual reflection gradually developed into a deeper effort to understand the challenges people face and the responsibilities we share toward one another. During the following year, several thoughtful discussions were held under the guidance and blessings of Acharyadev. These conversations focused on how an organization could serve society in a meaningful and practical way. Special attention was given to important areas of human life such as education, wellbeing, and spiritual development. The discussions were guided by the belief that when we serve others, we also support our own growth, happiness, and survival. By May 2024, the vision and objectives of the initiative became clear. At that time, Acharyadev blessed the organization with the name Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation, reflecting the timeless Vedic ideal that the whole world is one family. With this noble vision, the foundation was formally established on 11 July 2024. It is committed to encouraging compassion, supporting holistic wellbeing, and working towards a society where every individual understands that the growth and survival of one is deeply connected to the growth and survival of all.
