About Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation
The inspiration behind Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation – “One World, One Family” is deeply rooted in the life-affirming philosophy of Shri Shri Thakur Anukul Chandra, which emphasizes that the wellbeing of an individual is inseparable from the wellbeing of others. Human life flourishes when we care for one another, nurture harmony, and work collectively for the upliftment of society.
With this spirit, in March 2023, Shri Shri Acharyadeb graciously inspired the initiative to explore the fundamental needs of human beings and how compassionate service can address those needs. What began as a spiritual reflection gradually evolved into a deeper journey of understanding humanity’s challenges and responsibilities.
Over the following year, many thoughtful discussions and contemplations were held under the guidance and blessings of Shri Shri Acharyadeb to understand how an organization could meaningfully serve society. These deliberations focused on the essential aspects of human life—education, wellbeing, and spiritual upliftment—guided by the belief that serving others is the foundation of our own survival and happiness.
In May 2024, a clear understanding of these human needs and the objectives of the initiative emerged. At that moment, Shri Shri Acharyadeb blessed the organization with the name Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation, embodying the timeless Vedic ideal that the whole world is one family.
With this sacred vision, the Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation was formally established on 11 July 2024, dedicated to nurturing compassion, promoting holistic wellbeing, and working towards a society where every individual recognizes that the growth and survival of one is deeply connected to the growth and survival of all.
